About midoria
You might already have heard of how CDNs work and how they optimize your web experience. But this comes with a price. Many of the datacenters do not only need lots of energy to provide you with your content from the closest area to your current position. They are also emitting masses of carbon dioxide. Midoria understands the need for speed but decided to reduce the number of the so called PoPs in the world and only uses those who are proven to be more than 80 percent carbon free as of now. Additional PoPs will be added as soon as possible. for example in 2025 when many of the Azure datacenters are planned to go carbon free.

We also include a tree subscription into every paid subscription. X percent of the monthly fee goes directly to one of our supported reforestation programs. We are currently trying to get contracts with the following programs. Otherwise, we will just spend the money to them.

Evaluation
We're also considering to use PoPs in 100 percent solar or wind powered data centers. We would disable them during times with low energy harvesting like the night or bad weather conditions. The idea is based on the great solar protocol project.
